The basic first aid principles and lifesaving skills taught and practiced in this training course can be applied to any emergency situation. The basic principles of first aider safety as well as ensuring the safety of the scene around the victim are demonstrated and practiced. Lifesaving skills like cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and the management of choking are also emphasised during this first aid training course. Heartsaver Adult First Aid is one of the American Heart Association training courses, recognized internationally. It is an interactive DVD based first aid training course, allowing you to practice while watching with the assistance of a knowledgeable facilitator to guide you.
