Heartsaver CPR Training Course

The basic skills of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the main focus of the Heartsaver CPR training course. This CPR training course is ideal for any care giver looking after children and babies, as it teaches the basic skill of doing CPR safely and efficiently on any adult, child or baby with the use of a barrier device - a pocket mask as well as a mouth piece. Managing choking in an adult, child or baby is also part of the scope of this exciting and interactive training course. If you work with any member of the public this CPR training course will help you to save someones life in an emergency. Heartsaver CPR is one of the many emergency medical training courses available from the American Heart Association. This interactive DVD based CPR training course makes learning the skill of basic safe CPR fun and easy with a knowledgeable facilitator to give guidance where needed.

Heartsaver CPR Course Content:

This CPR training course is based on hands-on practice of basic CPR skills for adults, children and babies using a barrier device. Management of choking in adults, children and babies are also demonstrated and the skills practiced. How to activate the emergency medical services is also included in the demonstrations and the skills practice.

Heartsaver CPR Course Duration:

The skills for CPR and choking in adults, children and infants are taught in 3 - 4 hours.

Heartsaver CPR Course Fees include:

A Heartsaver CPR Student Workbook with CD and Two credit card-sized Reminder Cards are provided before the training course commence - course participants are encourage to read through these before attending the training, as well as for reference during and after attending the course. A key pouch with gloves and mouth piece is provided for use during the skills practice sessions and for any emergency situation there after. A American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR course completion card valid for two years is issued upon successful course completion.

Heartsaver CPR Course Participation Requirements:

• Training course participants must be able to read and understand English.
• Practical skills testing takes place during the course.
